Your Questions, Answered
What Services do Inspired Health & Wellness offer?
How much does your weight management program cost?
Your initial weight management appointment with Inspired Health & Wellness costs $199. After we choose your plan, the monthly meetings cost $125. The price for medication differs depending on what plan is best for you. See more on our Medical Weight Loss page
Does Inspired Health & Wellness accept insurance?
Inspired Health & Wellness does not accept insurance plans. However, we provide you with a “Superbill” to give to your insurance provider. A superbill is a summary of your visit that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement directly to you if eligible through your plan. Contact your insurance provider to learn if you have out-of-network benefits. Medicare recipients do not have out-of-network benefits, thus cannot submit for reimbursement for the cost of their visit. There are medication assistance programs for Medicare and uninsured patients for those who qualify financially.
What are ways to reduce the cost if my insurance does not cover the program?
Talk with your provider at your initial visit and how they can best accommodate your budget. Also consider looking at our membership options as that is the most affordable option and keeps you on plan.
How Do I make an Appointment?
Talk to your provider at your initial visit about how they can best accommodate your budget.
How often will I need to visit the clinic?
Per Florida State Board of Medicine regulations, providers are required to see patients at a minimum of 90 day intervals to prescribe weight loss medications. It is recommended to see your provider once a month.
What should I expect during my initial consultation?
A one hour comprehensive evaluation of your medical history, labs, current medications, and lifestyle. You will also discuss medication options, along with a prescribed diet and exercise regimen.
What should I bring during my first appointment?
Please bring your insurance card, proof of identification, and any recent lab work done in the past 1-2 years. It’s okay if you don’t have them; we can request them or order new labs during your visit.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Please note the late cancellation or no-show policy:
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you will need to send a text message in the medical record (which is dated and time-stamped) to 850.429.4156 for Emilie and 850.754.9480 for Nathalie or click on the cancel or reschedule link in your confirmation email. Please do not respond to an automated appointment reminder as those are unable to be seen by our staff. You may also call the office at 850.542.7314 and speak to a staff member; please do not leave a voicemail regarding a cancellation.
If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before your appointment time or if you no-show, there will be a $50 fee applied.
What is the typical duration of a weight management program?
We are not a quick-fix solution. Every individual is different. A good estimate would be seeing your provider monthly until you meet your goal, and from there, you would see your provider on a maintenance-based schedule.
What kind of results can I expect, and how long will it take to see them?
Normal healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week and 4-8 pounds per month. Some people lose more initially, depending on the number of tools or lifestyle changes they are implementing.
How do I maintain my weight loss after completing the program?
Continuing to see your provider at maintenance intervals with continued medication support and lifestyle changes is essential to keeping the weight off.
What if I have a medical condition like diabetes or hypertension? Can I still join your program?
Yes of course! Many of our patients start the program with multiple weight-related disease processes, like diabetes or hypertension. With significant weight loss, we are often able to reduce dosages or stop medications for those conditions.
Can I continue to see my Primary Care Physician while participating in your program?
Yes, absolutely. While we do offer primary care services, if you already have primary care established elsewhere, we encourage you to share your progress and treatment with your provider. We can also help facilitate this by sharing progress notes and lab results upon request.
Can you help with managing cravings and emotional eating?
Yes. Our program consists of behavioral modifications, lifestyle changes, and medication therapy to help manage cravings and emotional eating.
